A Cherokee Activity Zine
Inspired by children’s activity books, this single-page zine is all in Cherokee. Consisting of a word search, counting practice, size comparison and more, this zine was a testament to language learning and the possibilities of revitalization work.
A Retelling, 2025
An accordion zine that functions as a creation story. Utilizing photos and handwritten ledgers from my families’ archives and hand drawn images, each word is affixed onto the page. By pairing function and form, the poem explores how memory serves to anchor one within the present and simultaneously is pieced by the spaces of silence of time past and knowing lost.

A tongue-in-cheek and critical read on the racial paradigm that defines the Cherokee identity. Published on The Juice Blog by Apple Fork Press.
The Words We Carry, 2025
Using archives from the Gilcrease Museum, The Words We Carry examines anti-Black roots in the Cherokee language and seeks to contextualize how language shapes identity and argues that authentic decolonial language practices must acknowledge historical complexities.
